Abilene, TX (April 11, 2025) Late Thursday evening, a violent 2-vehicle crash on Treadaway Boulevard left a car wedged underneath the truck.

According to authorities, the frightening incident happened just after 10:00 p.m. between South 11th and South 14th Streets.

Reports say that a car collided with the side of an 18-wheeler on Treadaway Boulevard in south Abilene.

Emergency crews arrived to find the car wedged underneath the truck and used the jaws of life to reach those inside. Authorities have not yet released information on the conditions of those involved.

As of 10:30 p.m., officials shut down northbound traffic on Treadaway Boulevard and limited southbound lanes to one. Drivers should continue to avoid the area while the investigation continues.
