4 People Hurt in Macon County Traffic Accident on US Highway 36

MACON COUNTY, MO (February 15, 2026) – Friday morning, an alarming 2-vehicle crash on US Highway 36 injured four people.

The incident happened on US Highway 36.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a northbound Jeep Cherokee failed to yield the right of way and collided with an eastbound GMC Acadia.

Moreover, responders rushed the 31-year-old female driver of the Jeep with serious injuries and her 53-year-old male passenger with moderate injuries to a hospital for treatment. Also, officers confirmed that two passengers in the GMC sustained minor injuries in the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Missouri State Highway Patrol continued investigating the crash.
