2 Women Airlifted in Highway 21 Collision [Reynolds County, MO]

Reynolds County, MO (September 3, 2026) – A 68-year-old woman and an 86-year-old woman, both of Ellington, were injured following a Highway 21 collision Monday noon.

The collision between two vehicles happened before 12:30 p.m., 5 miles south of Ellington.

Troopers said a northbound car driven by the 68-year-old woman crossed the center line and struck the southbound SUV head-on.

The car’s driver and the SUV’s driver, the 86-year-old woman, were airlifted to St. Louis hospital with serious injuries.

Police said the car’s driver was wearing her seatbelt during the collision, while the SUV’s driver was not.

In the meantime, MSHP is investigating the collision.
