Police Investigate Solo Vehicle Crash on U.S. 67 Off-Ramp in Butler County
BUTLER COUNTY, MO (June 4, 2026) — Two women suffered injuries Thursday afternoon after a single-vehicle crash on a U.S. 67 off-ramp near Poplar Bluff.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 12:35 p.m. on the U.S. 67 off-ramp, about a half-mile north of Poplar Bluff.
Troopers said a southbound SUV traveled off the roadway, overturned, and struck a tree.
The driver, identified as an 81-year-old woman from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, suffered minor injuries. Emergency responders transported her to a Poplar Bluff hospital.
Her passenger, a 75-year-old woman also from Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico, suffered serious injuries. Medical crews flew her to a St. Louis hospital for treatment.
MSHP reported that the passenger was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Authorities said the SUV was totaled.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the collision.
