29-Year-Old Henry Jose Cruz Dead in Elm Street Collision [Dallas, TX]

Dallas, TX (August 25, 2025) – Henry Jose Cruz, a 29-year-old Dallas comedian, was killed in an Elm Street collision early Saturday morning.

It was around 2:15 a.m. when the collision happened at the I-345 Ramp W.

Investigators determined that a vehicle struck Cruz and fled the scene. 

Responding rescuers rushed Cruz to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

According to the victim’s friends, he was a local comedian was walking home from a show at Shark’s Comedy Club when he was hit.

Cruz’s friends were walking with him that night, and according to them, they made it across the street, but the vehicle swerved and jumped the curb onto the median and struck Cruz

The friends of the victim said the involved vehicle was a dark-colored car.

Officers are conducting a further investigation into this deadly crash.
