Injuries Reported in Perris Auto Accident on Lake Perris Drive and Ramona Expressway

PERRIS, CA (November 1, 2025) – Saturday night, three people were hospitalized after a crippling vehicle crash on Lake Perris Drive.

According to the California Highway Patrol Riverside Office, the crash happened at about 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of Lake Perris Drive and Ramona Expressway.

Reports indicate that deputies with the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office were in a high-speed pursuit westbound on Ramona Expressway, east of Lake Perris Drive, with lights and sirens activated. Meanwhile, a Honda Civic was making a left turn onto Ramona Expressway eastbound when the patrol unit collided with it in the intersection.

Cal Fire Riverside County firefighters arrived to find one Sheriff’s unit with major front-end damage and another vehicle with severe damage about 200 yards away. Firefighters extricated one trapped occupant from the Honda and transported the victim to a local trauma center with critical injuries. Their current condition remains unknown.

The deputy and a second occupant of the Honda were also transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries. In the aftermath, authorities noted a damaged electrical box, and the car’s rear axle was found about 50 yards from the scene.

Officials confirmed that the pursuit began earlier that evening after deputies responded to reports of a possibly armed suspicious person on the 300 block of Markham Street. Three suspects fled from the pursued vehicle near Evans Road and Ramona Expressway and were later taken into custody.
