Injuries Reported in Austin Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 and Woodward Street

AUSTIN, TX (September 10, 2026) – Wednesday morning, a crippling auto accident on Interstate 35 and Woodward Street injured 3.

The incident happened at about 8:00 a.m. on Interstate 35 and Woodward Street near East Ben White Boulevard.

An adult and two children were injured in the crash, according to reports.

Austin-Travis County EMS said the adult was taken to South Austin Hospital with non-severe injuries. Two children were transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center in critical condition.

The Travis County Starflight helicopter also responded to the scene Wednesday morning.

The intersection of the northbound I-35 service road and East Ben White Boulevard westbound, along with the turnaround from southbound I-35 to the northbound service road, were temporarily closed. All roadways have since reopened, according to the Austin Police Department.
