Injuries Reported in Gem Village Auto Accident on US Highway 60 near Dana Drive

GEM VILLAGE, CA (September 22, 2026) – Monday morning, an alarming 2-vehicle crash on US Highway 60 near Dana Drive injured 3.

The incident occurred at around 9:20 a.m. on US Highway 60 near Dana Drive, near a sharp curve in the highway.

CSP spokesman Ivan Alvarado said a white Toyota 4Runner was traveling east when it veered into the westbound lane and sideswiped a westbound Jeep SUV. Both vehicles ended up off the highway, with airbags deployed in one of them.

Both drivers and one passenger were taken to a hospital with injuries. Their conditions were not known as of 11:15 a.m., Alvarado said.

CSP began towing the vehicles around 9:55 a.m. Law enforcement directed traffic through an alternating single lane while crews cleared the crash.

Highway 160 was fully reopened by 11:15 a.m.
