Injuries Reported in Kansas City Auto Accident on 18th Street and Indiana Avenue

KANSAS CITY, MO (August 14, 2025) – Tuesday, an alarming hit-and-run crash on 18th Street and Indiana Avenue injured 3 people.

The incident happened on 18th Street and Indiana Avenue.

Police said a Chevrolet Malibu was traveling east on 18th Street when it struck a white Toyota Highlander heading north on Indiana. The Malibu then hit a Dodge Durango going west on 18th Street.

The collision caused the Toyota to spin into the westbound lanes of 18th Street, where it struck a Ford Taurus and a Chrysler 200, both traveling west.

The Toyota’s driver was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, and a youth passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries. A passenger in the Malibu was also hospitalized and is expected to recover.

Police said the drivers of the Chevrolet, Dodge, Ford, and Chrysler left the scene before officers arrived. The investigation remains ongoing.
