Injuries Reported in Saline County Auto Accident on 41 Highway near Lime Avenue

SALINE COUNTY, MO (April 15, 2026) – Monday, a crippling rear-end crash on 41 Highway near Lime Avenue injured 3 people.

The incident involving a semi and a passenger vehicle happened eastbound on 41 Highway near Lime Avenue.

As both vehicles were traveling east, the Chevrolet attempted to pass a Freightliner. At the same time, the 52-year-old truck driver from Marshall began making a left turn and struck the passenger side of the Chevrolet. The impact sent the car off the left side of the roadway, where it hit a ditch and overturned. The semi also left the roadway on the left side.

The 77-year-old Chevrolet driver from Slater sustained serious injuries, while his 77-year-old female passenger, also from Slater, suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to University Hospital.

The authorities confirmed that the truck driver was treated for minor injuries at Fitzgibbon Hospital.
