Injuries Reported in Abilene Traffic Crash near S 13th Street and Butternut Street

ABILENE, TX (April 17, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, a crippling truck accident on S 13th Street and Butternut Street injured 3.

The incident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of S 13th Street and Butternut Street.

Police said a truck heading west on S 13th Street collided with another traveling south on Butternut Street at the intersection.

Both trucks crashed through a fence. One driver was ejected, and two people in the other truck were also hurt.

All three were taken to the hospital with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the crash. No further details have been released.
