Police Investigate Two-Vehicle Crash on Missouri 5 in Camden County

CAMDEN COUNTY, MO (June 9, 2026) — Three people were injured Monday afternoon after a two-vehicle crash on Missouri 5 in Camden County.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the crash happened around 1 p.m. as a 47-year-old man from Overland Park, Kansas, drove southbound on Missouri 5 in a Chevrolet Silverado.

Troopers said a Hyundai Santa Fe SUV attempted to make a left turn onto Missouri 7 and failed to yield to the Silverado.

The Silverado then struck the Hyundai as it turned.

The Silverado driver suffered serious injuries.

Two people inside the Hyundai, a 61-year-old woman and a 9-year-old girl from Steelville, suffered moderate injuries.

Emergency responders transported all three injured people by ambulance to Lake Regional Hospital.

Authorities said both vehicles sustained extensive damage.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
