2 Critical After Crash on Ocean View Avenue in Pismo Beach

Pismo Beach, CA (September 24, 2025) – Three people sustained injuries in a crash on Ocean View Avenue and Dolliver Street.

A car slammed into the Ocean Palms Motel in downtown Pismo Beach on Wednesday night, critically injuring two people and leaving a third with minor injuries, according to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.

Officials reported that the crash occurred at around 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Ocean View Avenue and Dolliver Street.

Emergency responders arrived quickly at the scene, which was identified through the PulsePoint app as 390 Ocean View Ave.—the official address of the Ocean Palms Motel.

The Fire Department confirmed that paramedics transported two patients to a local hospital with critical injuries. 

A third individual sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene. As of 9:40 p.m., multiple emergency units remained on-site, including responders from the Pismo Beach Police Department, the county fire department, and a towing company working to remove the damaged vehicle.

Cal Fire personnel worked to secure the crash site, clearing debris and boarding up a large hole left in the building’s front office wall. 

Officials declared the structure unstable, and the building department arrived to assess the damage. 

Authorities have not yet confirmed whether the injured victims were inside the motel or in the car at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
