3 Dead in Pinon Hills Auto Accident on Palmdale Road near Minero Road

PINON HILLS, CA (May 10, 2026) – Saturday night, a horrific head-on crash on Palmdale Road near Minero Road led to the death of three people.

The incident involving a silver 2006 Honda Odyssey minivan and a 2025 Jeep Wrangler Sport happened at around 7:50 p.m. on Palmdale Road near Minero Road

Officials said a Honda Odyssey traveling eastbound on Palmdale Road collided with a westbound Jeep Wrangler Sport.

Responders from the San Bernardino County Fire Department confirmed three fatalities at the scene, all of whom were occupants of the Honda Odyssey.

Authorities said five people were inside the minivan at the time of the crash. Two surviving occupants suffered critical injuries and were airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center by Mercy Air and REACH air ambulances.

The Jeep driver sustained minor injuries and was taken to a hospital by ground ambulance.

Palmdale Road was closed in the area while Caltrans assisted with traffic control. The California Highway Patrol Victorville Station is investigating the crash.
