3 Dead in Yermo Auto Accident on Interstate 15 and Calico Road

YERMO, CA (June 24, 2026) – Monday afternoon, a horrific rollover crash on Interstate 15 and Calico Road killed 3 people.

The incident happened at around 12:51 p.m. on the northbound Interstate 15, south of Calico Road.

A Chevrolet Tahoe overturned into the center divider on Interstate 15, according to preliminary reports. Authorities said all northbound lanes were blocked, and two occupants were ejected from the vehicle.

An off-duty paramedic who stopped at the scene reported multiple injuries, including a child with a head injury, and requested three ambulances. One victim was found lying in the roadway but was still breathing.

Emergency crews, including firefighters, paramedics, and officers from the California Highway Patrol, treated several victims at the scene. Due to the severity of the injuries, two patients were airlifted to trauma centers.

According to CHP incident logs, three people died as a result of the crash. At approximately 1:13 p.m., investigators requested a full closure of the freeway and notified the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Division to respond.

The crash caused significant traffic delays as authorities shut down lanes and diverted vehicles to allow emergency crews to work safely.

Responders also requested animal control assistance for two French bulldogs that were inside the vehicle. Authorities said the dogs were not injured, and arrangements were made for their safe retrieval.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
