BAKERSFIELD, CA (August 30, 2026) – Friday morning, a brutal 2-vehicle crash on Copus Road and Old River Road killed three people.

The incident involving a blue Honda Odyssey and a Silver Nissan Sentra happened at about 5:22 a.m. on Copus Road, just west of Old River Road.

CHP confirmed that after the crash, three people were declared dead at the scene. Meanwhile, four other people were transported to the hospital for injuries. Three of the hospitalized sustained minor injuries, while the other sustained major injuries.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
