3 Dead in Fort Bend County Auto Accident on US 90A near Harlem Road

FORT BEND COUNTY, TX (March 16, 2026) – Sunday morning, a brutal 2-vehicle crash on US 90A near Harlem Road killed 3 people.

The incident happened at around 9:00 a.m. on US 90A between Harlem Road and Pitts Road.

Authorities said an SUV carrying five people was traveling east when a westbound truck crossed the median, lost control, and struck the SUV head-on. The truck overturned and caught fire.

Officials said three people inside the SUV, a 19-year-old man, a 22-year-old woman, and a 44-year-old woman, were pronounced dead at the scene. The 20-year-old truck driver and two children from the SUV were taken to a hospital with serious injuries.

Investigators said they were working to determine whether alcohol was a factor for the truck driver. The investigation was ongoing.
