3 Dead in Franklin County Auto Accident on Highway 100 near Dundee Road

FRANKLIN COUNTY, MO (April 14, 2026) – Monday night, a horrific head-on crash on Highway 100 near Dundee Road killed 3 people.

The incident happened when a 2011 Nissan Sentra traveled east on Highway 100. Then, it drove across the center line near Dundee Road and collided with a westbound 2020 Ford Explorer head-on.

The impact forced the Ford Explorer off the right side of the roadway and into a ditch.

Troopers said the driver of the Nissan, a 42-year-old woman, and her passenger, a 47-year-old man — both from Hermann — were pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities noted that neither was wearing a seatbelt. A 10-year-old boy from Hermann, who was also in the vehicle, was taken to St. Louis Children’s Hospital, where he later died.

The driver of the Ford Explorer, a 70-year-old woman from New Haven, sustained moderate injuries and was transported to a hospital, according to the crash report.
