3 Dead in Ocotillo Auto Accident on Interstate 8 and Mt Springs Road

OCOTILLO, CA (May 14, 2025) – Saturday morning, a horrific rollover crash on Interstate 8 and Mt Springs Road killed 3 people.

The incident occurred around 8:15 a.m. on Interstate 8, east of Mt Springs Road.

According to reports, a small car driving east veered off the road onto the center divider and landed onto its roof.

As a result, the 21-year-old male driver and his 21-year-old female passenger, both from Yuma, AZ, were ejected from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.

Meanwhile, a 2-year-old boy was found in the car and had sustained fatal injuries as well.

CHP revealed that neither of the adults wore a seatbelt. Moreover, the 2-year-old child was found in a child seat in the rear seat.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
