3 People Lost Their Lives in Highway 111 Vehicle Crash [El Centro, CA]

El Centro, CA (February 6, 2026) – Two drivers and a passenger were killed in a Highway 111 vehicle crash Monday evening.

Troopers said a 2007 Lincoln MKZ driven by a 50-year-old man from El Centro was northbound on the freeway, north of McCabe Road. 

Suddenly, the Lincoln driver veered to the left, and the vehicle drove through the dirt center median and into the southbound lanes of the freeway.

The Lincoln collided with a 2020 Nissan Rogue traveling south. Afterward, the Lincoln then collided with a 2021 Honda Accord that was also traveling south.

The Lincoln’s driver was declared dead at the scene. 

Also, the Nissan’s driver and right front passenger, a 57-year-old man, also from El Centro, and a 51-year-old woman from Calexico, were also declared dead at the scene.

Moreover, the driver and passenger in the Honda sustained minor injuries.
