1 Person Dead in Agua Dulce Multi-Vehicle Accident on 14 Freeway near Escondido Canyon Road

AGUA DULCE, CA (October 14, 2025) – Sunday night, a tragic 3-vehicle crash on 14 Freeway near Escondido Canyon Road killed one person.

The incident happened at around 9:27 p.m. on the northbound 14 Freeway, just south of Escondido Canyon Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a blue SUV rear-ended a green Ford and was involved in a collision with a white truck.

Moreover, officers confirmed that one person died in the crash. Then, paramedics transported two people to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed all northbound lanes of the 14 Freeway but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the CHP continued investigating the crash.
