1 Dead in Yakima Multi-Vehicle Accident on East Yakima Avenue

YAKIMA, WA (April 21, 2026) – Saturday night, a man died in a horrific 3-vehicle crash on East Yakima Avenue.

The incident involving three vehicles happened at around 7:28 p.m. on East Yakima Avenue.

Police said they responded to a three-vehicle crash and found a 29-year-old man from Yakima who had been partially ejected from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Other people involved were treated for minor injuries at the scene or taken to local hospitals.

Authorities said intoxicants are believed to have played a role. The Yakima Police Department said the investigation led to the arrest of a 35-year-old Yakima County man on charges including DUI and vehicular homicide.
