Police Investigate Fatal Crash Near Tierra Buena in Yuba City

YUBA CITY, CA (June 8, 2026)— A 30-year-old man died Sunday after an electric motorbike crash near Tierra Buena and Eager roads in an orchard north of Yuba City.

According to the California Highway Patrol’s Yuba-Sutter office, two juveniles found the man in the orchard several hours after the crash. They contacted their father, who called 911 shortly before 9:30 p.m.

Responding officers were directed to the crash scene from Nuestra Road. CHP Officer Brandon Rains said officers found the rider, who was wearing a helmet, ejected from a white electric motorbike near a well pump.

Rains said tall vegetation around the crash site blocked the scene from view from the roadway.

Investigators determined that drugs and alcohol were not factors in the crash.

Authorities have not released the rider’s identity. The Yuba County Sheriff’s Office coroner’s division is expected to release his name after notifying his relatives.

The cause of the fatal crash remains under investigation.
