CARTERVILLE, MO (September 17, 2026) – Tuesday morning, an alarming 2-vehicle crash on Prosperity Road and H H Highway sent 4 people to the hospital.

The incident involving two vehicles happened on Prosperity Road and H H Highway.

Four people were taken to a hospital after an SUV and minivan collided in Carterville, according to authorities.

Carterville Fire, Jasper County deputies and METS ambulance crews responded to the crash. The collision knocked down a stop sign on northbound Prosperity Road.

Four people were transported to an area hospital by ambulance, while others were taken for medical evaluation in private vehicles.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, which disrupted traffic for about an hour.
