4 People Hospitalized After Crash on East U.S. 290 in Austin

AUSTIN, TX (April 30, 2026)— Four people suffered injuries early Thursday after a crash on East U.S. 290 involving a semi-truck and two other vehicles.

Austin-Travis County EMS said the crash happened around 12:25 a.m. in the 12000 block of East U.S. 290 Highway, heading west.

Medics transported four people to the hospital. Two adults and one child suffered critical, life-threatening injuries. Another adult sustained potentially serious injuries. Officials said one adult refused transport at the scene.

The Manor Police Department and Travis County Emergency Services District 12 also responded to the collision.

Following the crash, police reduced U.S. 290 to one lane between North Farm-to-Market 973 and Manor Crossing Boulevard while crews worked to clear the wreckage and investigate the scene. Authorities later reopened the roadway.

Officials have not released additional details about what caused the crash. The collision remains under investigation.
