4 People Hospitalized After Crash at Cole Avenue in Mead Valley

Mead Valley, CA (August 28, 2025) – A crash on Cole Avenue involving an SUV and a sports car injured four people Thursday afternoon at a Mead Valley intersection.

The collision occurred around 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of Cole Avenue and Markham Street, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). 

Officials reported that a Honda Pilot and a Ford Mustang collided, although the exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Riverside County Fire Department crews arrived within minutes and found that all occupants had exited the vehicles on their own. 

Paramedics assessed the victims at the scene and determined that three individuals had sustained moderate injuries, while one person suffered only minor injuries.

Emergency personnel transported all four victims to a regional trauma center, where they were listed in stable condition.

CHP officers responded by partially closing the intersection to investigate the cause of the crash and remove the wrecked vehicles. 

Neither the SUV nor the Mustang was drivable following the impact.
