4 People Killed in Head-On Collision on FM 51 [Era, TX]

Era, TX (March 15, 2026) — A devastating head-on collision on FM 51 claimed the lives of four people, including a child, and left another child hospitalized.

The crash happened on FM 51 near County Road 383, south of Era. Authorities reported that three people—two adults and a child—died in one vehicle. An adult in the second vehicle also died, while a child from that vehicle was airlifted to a hospital in Fort Worth for treatment.

The Cooke County Sheriff’s Office has not released the names of the victims. The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the circumstances that led to the collision.
