Injuries Reported in Scottsdale Multi-Vehicle Accident on Shea Boulevard and Via Linda

SCOTTSDALE, AZ (March 4, 2025) – Sunday night, a crippling 3-vehicle crash on Shea Boulevard and Via Linda injured 5 people.

The incident happened at about 8:10 p.m. at the intersection of Shea Boulevard and Via Linda.

“Two vehicles were stopped side-by-side at a red light for westbound Shea, at Via Linda, when another vehicle rear-ended one of the stopped vehicles pushing it into the intersection. The rear-ending vehicle then collided with the other vehicle still stopped at the red light,” said a portion of the statement.

Police confirmed that children were injured in the crash but are currently in stable condition. The driver believed to be responsible was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

Following the incident, Scottsdale Police announced the closure of westbound Shea Boulevard at 110th Street. The road remained closed for several hours before reopening overnight on March 3.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
