HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (February 21, 2023) – Sunday night, five people sustained injuries in a single-vehicle crash on Gothard Street and McFadden Avenue.

The incident happened at around 10:40 p.m. on Gothard Street and McFadden Avenue.

Authorities confirmed that the 17-year-old boy drive of a 1998 Toyota 4Runner and his four passengers suffered injuries.

“All were promptly transported to local hospitals for medical treatment in various conditions,” stated Jessica Cuchilla of the Huntington Beach Police Department.

Cuchilla added that the driver traveled at a high rate of speed northbound on Gothard Street, just south of McFadden Avenue.

Also, the authorities haven’t clarified whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
