Police Investigate Multi-Vehicle Crash at Del Mar and San Dario in Laredo
LAREDO, TX (May 6, 2026)— A multi-vehicle crash at Del Mar Boulevard and San Dario Avenue involving at least five vehicles occurred Tuesday night.
According to the Laredo Police Department, officers received reports of the collision around 9 p.m. on May 6.
Police said an older pickup truck may have suffered total brake failure before the crash. The mechanical issue likely contributed to the chain-reaction collision involving multiple vehicles at the intersection.
Authorities reported no major injuries.
Officials have not released additional details about the drivers involved or whether any citations were issued.
The Laredo Police Department continues to investigate the crash.

Collisions involving several vehicles often create confusion about what happened, who may be responsible, and how victims should handle medical concerns, vehicle repairs, and insurance claims.
When a possible brake failure is involved, the situation may raise additional questions about vehicle maintenance, mechanical defects, inspections, and driver responsibility.
