54-Year-Old Man Dead in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-70 [Berkeley, MO]

Berkeley, MO (September 18, 2026) – A 54-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run crash on I-70 Tuesday night.

The deadly collision happened just past 11 p.m. on the northbound freeway.

Police said a 66-year-old woman, a 54-year-old man, and another adult woman, were driving north when the 66-year-old woman’s vehicle struck a pedestrian.

The 54-year-old man and the other female driver also struck the victim, a 30-year-old man who was walking south in the third northbound lane of the highway.

Sadly, the victim was declared dead at the scene.

The 66-year-old and the 54-year-old cooperated with the officers’ investigation, but the other driver fled before officers arrived.

Officers are investigating the deadly crash.
