56-Year-Old Woman Injured in SR 7 Traffic Collision [Parkland, WA]

Parkland, WA (June 4, 2025) — A SR 7 traffic collision left a 56-year-old Roy woman suffering injuries and she was taken to a hospital following early Monday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision happened around 4:56 a.m. on State Route 7 above State Route 512. Investigators said a 38-year-old Tacoma man was driving southbound on SR 7 when he collided with the woman’s vehicle as she attempted to make a left turn onto westbound SR 512.

The impact pushed the man’s vehicle onto a nearby sidewalk and into the first lane, while the woman’s vehicle came to rest partially on the SR 512 ramp.

Authorities arrested the Tacoma driver on suspicion of driving under the influence and vehicular assault. The injured woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Officials continue to investigate the cause of the crash. The roadway remained blocked for more than an hour following the incident.
