4 Children Injured in Crash on Highway 67 in Madison County
MADISON COUNTY, MO (May 28, 2026) — Six people, including four children, suffered injuries Wednesday morning after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 67.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 10:50 a.m. on May 27, 2026, at U.S. Highway 67 and Highway A.
Troopers said a 2024 Kia Sorento was traveling northbound when the driver swerved to avoid crossing traffic. The vehicle then ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
The driver, a 36-year-old woman from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, suffered minor injuries. EMS transported her to Madison Medical Center.
Five passengers also sustained minor injuries, including a 27-year-old woman and four children ages 1, 4, 4, and 10. Emergency responders transported all of them to Madison Medical Center for treatment.
MSHP reported that everyone in the vehicle was wearing a safety device at the time of the crash.
The Kia Sorento was totaled and towed from the scene.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
