Fatality Reported in Hannibal Traffic Accident
Hannibal, MO (November 6, 2025) – Jeffrey Nichols, a 61-year-old resident of Hannibal, was killed in a Highway 61 accident Tuesday morning.
The fatal crash happened around 5 a.m. near County Road 409.
According to the investigators, Nichols was ejected from his bicycle after hitting debris on the shoulder of Highway 61.
The 18-wheeler swerved to avoid the bicycle but ended up striking Nichols.
Sadly, Jeffrey Nichols was declared dead at the crash scene.
Officers are still investigating.
