Driver Injured in Two-Vehicle Fatal Crash on Farm Road 2200 in Barry County

BARRY COUNTY, MO (May 27, 2026)— A 69-year-old man died, and another driver suffered injuries after a two-vehicle crash on Farm Road 2200 near Cassville.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 8:20 p.m. on May 25 on Farm Road 2200, south of Cassville.

Investigators said a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van and a 1995 Jeep Cherokee collided along the side of the vehicles.

After the impact, the Jeep traveled off the roadway and overturned. The crash ejected the Jeep driver from the vehicle.

Emergency responders transported the Jeep driver, a 69-year-old Cassville man, to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Hospital staff later pronounced him dead.

The driver of the van, a 66-year-old man, suffered moderate injuries in the crash.

Authorities have not released additional details about what caused the vehicles to collide.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate the fatal crash.
