POWAY, CA (December 4, 2022) – Saturday morning, a 69-year-old woman died in a pedestrian crash on Edgemoor Street and Midland Road.
 
The incident happened at about 9:00 a.m. on Edgemoor Street and Midland Road.
 
According to reports, a Ford Ranger headed west on Edgemoor Street. Then, the 35-year-old male driver stopped at the stop sign for the intersection of Edgemoor Street and Midland Road. Then, it turned left onto Midland Road to head south.
 
However, as the truck turned, the pedestrian walked into the marked crosswalk while walking her dog. As a result, the crash occurred.
 
Meanwhile, the driver said that he didn’t see the pedestrian on the road.
 
Also, the authorities ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the crash.
 
Moreover, the Poway Fire Department responded to the scene. Then, first responders transported the woman to the Palomar Medical Center in Escondido. However, she later succumbed to her injuries at the medical center.
