SACRAMENTO, CA (September 28, 2025) – Saturday morning, 7 people were hospitalized in an alarming 2-vehicle crash on Ione Road and Claypit Road.



The incident happened just after 10:00 a.m. on Ione Road and Claypit Road.

Seven people were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Ione Road, according to fire officials.

Arriving crews found both vehicles with significant front-end damage. All seven victims were treated at the scene before being taken to the hospital. One person was flown by air ambulance due to the severity of their injuries, while the conditions of the others remain unclear.

Ione Road is currently closed as the California Highway Patrol investigates the cause of the crash.
