73-Year-Old Woman Airlifted in US 50 Collision [Kansas City, MO]

Kansas City, MO (February 23, 2026) – A 73-year-old Kearney woman was injured in a US 50 collision before Saturday noon.

The traffic collision happened on February 21 at Route D, north of Whiteman Air Force Base.

Investigators said a northbound Ford F250 drove into the path of an eastbound 2025 Ford Escape.

As a result, the Escape overturned and rested on the roadway

The 73-year-old woman riding in the Escape was seriously injures. She was airlifted to the University of Missouri hospital.

Moreover, the driver of the Ford F250 and the driver of the Ford Escape were not hurt in the collision. 

Police said all parties involved in the collision were wearing their seatbelts.
