 77-Year-Old Wayne Ollis Dead in I-40 Big Rig Crash [Oldham County, TX]

Traffic Collision Near Vega Results in Fatality

Oldham County, TX (March 25, 2026) – 77-year-old Wayne Ollis of Bald Knob, Arkansas, was killed in an I-40 big rig crash Monday afternoon.

The deadly vehicle crash happened at 4:50 p.m. on March 23, near Vega.

According to the authorities, a westbound  big rig left the roadway and traveled across the north service road.

The vehicle then drove through a fence, and struck several parked big rigs.

The rescuers responded to the scene and rushed Wayne Ollis to an Amarillo hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

In the meantime, the authorities are still investigating.
