8-Year-Old Girl Dies in Tragic Crash on Interstate 10 [Colton, CA]

Young Girl Involved in Fatal Traffic Collision on Interstate 10

Colton, CA (November 01, 2020) – On Friday, October 30th, an 8-year-old girl died in a traffic collision on Interstate 10.

Furthermore, the CHP says, the crash happened at about 3:10 a.m. when a 2014 white Nissan Maxima collided with the rear of a 2021 yellow international box truck.

Moreover, the Nissan was driven by a 39-year-old woman from Madera, while the box truck driver is a 39-years-old Pico Rivera man.

Meanwhile, investigators say, the collision wedged the Nissan underneath the box truck.

Consequently, causing severe damage to the Nissan driver and her 8-year-old passenger. Medical personnel took both to a local hospital for immediate treatment.

Sadly, the young girl did not survive the ordeal and was pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities did not reveal the identity of the deceased, pending notification of her kin and identification of the San Bernardino County Coroner’s Office.

Lastly, investigations are still ongoing to understand the reason for the crash.
