SoFi Stadium Security Guard Dies After Suspected DUI Crash Following World Cup Match
Inglewood, CA (June 24, 2025) — Aaron Avery, a 22-year-old SoFi Stadium security guard, died after a suspected impaired driver struck him while he was walking home from work in Inglewood.
The crash happened at the intersection of Van Ness Avenue and 104th Street shortly after Aaron Avery finished his second day on the job following a World Cup match. Avery was reportedly walking home, about two miles from the stadium, when a vehicle hit him.
