Federal Way, WA (June 25, 2025) — 15-year-old Abdimalik Saeed Abdullahi died after a hit-and-run collision near Federal Way, and investigators are asking the public for help identifying the driver responsible.

The crash happened just before 10 p.m. on May 14 near South 320th Street and Military Road South in unincorporated King County. Authorities said the teen had just exited a Metro bus and was crossing the roadway outside a marked crosswalk when a vehicle struck him and fled the scene.

Investigators believe the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored four-door sedan that may have damage to its front right wheel well. Surveillance footage captured images of the vehicle as it traveled southbound on Military Road South.

The victim, identified as 15-year-old Abdullahi, suffered severe injuries and fought for his life for about a week before succumbing to multiple blunt-force injuries.

Officials continue to search for the driver. A combined $5,000 reward is available for information that leads to an arrest and criminal charges in the case.
