Pedestrian Accident on Cleveland Avenue Kills Woman [Thurston County, WA]

Thurston County, WA (January 13, 2025) — A woman lost her life Monday morning after a pedestrian accident on Cleveland Avenue in Tumwater.

According to authorities, the shocking collision happened around 11:47 a.m. in a grocery store parking lot located at 520 Cleveland Avenue.

Officers responded to a reported vehicle–pedestrian collision at the parking lot Investigators determined that a 51-year-old man was driving when he struck a 70-year-old woman in the lot.

Emergency responders arrived quickly, but the woman suffered fatal injuries. Authorities have not yet released her identity.

Police stated that the driver remained at the scene and cooperated fully with the investigation. Investigators found no evidence of impairment or wrongdoing, and no arrest was made. The Washington State Patrol assisted Tumwater police with the investigation.
