Solo-Vehicle Accident on Highway 205 Injures 2 People [San Joaquin County, CA]

San Joaquin County, CA (June 26, 2025) — Two people suffered injuries Tuesday night after a frightening accident on Highway 205, where a vehicle left the road and plunged into an irrigation canal in San Joaquin County.

Emergency crews responded around 10:30 p.m. to the area east of MacArthur Drive after receiving reports that a vehicle had veered off the eastbound lanes, traveled down an embankment, and entered the canal.

Firefighters with the South San Joaquin County Fire Authority used specialized rescue equipment to reach the occupants and remove them from the partially submerged vehicle.

Paramedics transported both individuals to a nearby hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.

Authorities have not released additional details about the cause of the crash.
