Rollover Accident on Highway 49 Prompted EMS Response [Calaveras County, CA]

Calaveras County, CA (November 18, 2025) — Emergency crews responded Wednesday afternoon to a rollover accident on Highway 49 just south of Big Bar Road, where a vehicle overturned and blocked the roadway.

According to authorities, the collision happened around 3:21 p.m., with callers noting the vehicle was on its roof and still occupied.

Bystanders attempted to break a window to help the trapped person before first responders arrived.

Units reached the scene within minutes, and both lanes of Highway 49 were temporarily closed while crews worked to assist the occupant and clear the roadway.

A tow truck from Sam Berri Tow was requested to remove the overturned vehicle.

Authorities have not released details on the extent of injuries.
