Republic Man Killed After Motorcycle Collides with Semi in Greene County

Greene County, MO (November 17, 2025) — A 67-year-old Republic man died Saturday afternoon after a tragic motorcycle accident on Highway MM.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 1:15 p.m. on Sawyer Road, just west of Highway MM.

Troopers said a 49-year-old Kansas City man was driving a semi when he made a left turn directly into the path of an eastbound Kawasaki motorcycle. The motorcycle struck the truck, throwing the rider from the bike.

The 67-year-old motorcyclist was taken to Cox South Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Troopers confirmed he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. This incident marks Troop D’s 118th fatality of 2025.
