58-Year-Old Woman Dies Days After Being Struck by Car in Elk Grove

Elk Grove, CA (April 24, 2026) — A 58-year-old woman has died after suffering severe injuries in a pedestrian accident on Shasta Lily Drive in Elk Grove.

The incident happened around 8:15 p.m. on April 8 along Shasta Lily Drive. The woman was walking across the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk when a Honda Civic struck her.

Emergency crews rushed her to a nearby hospital with serious injuries. Despite medical efforts, she succumbed to her injuries on April 14.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated fully with authorities. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity, pending notification by the Sacramento County coroner.
