Worker Killed in Vehicle Accident at Denver International Airport

Denver, CO (December 21, 2025) — A United Airlines employee died following a workplace vehicle accident on Vandiver Street late Thursday night.

According to authorities, the incident happened shortly before 11:40 p.m. on Denver International Airport property near the 7400 block of Vandiver Street.

Investigators reported that two employees were operating separate cherry-picker-style lift vehicles. One of the lifts came to a stop, and the second lift subsequently collided with it.

The driver of the second vehicle became trapped and was later freed by emergency responders. He was transported to a hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Authorities have not yet determined why the first lift stopped. The victim worked as a facilities maintenance technician for United Airlines.

United Airlines and the Denver Police Department continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. The airline stated it is providing support to the employee’s family and coworkers. No additional details have been released.
