Injuries Reported in Chico Auto Accident on Highway 32 and Bruce Road

CHICO, CA (November 12, 2023) – Friday afternoon, authorities arrested Adrian Flores after a hit-and-run crash on Highway 32 and Bruce Road.

Reports said that the incident happened at about 4:20 p.m. on Highway 32 and Bruce Road.

The Chico Police Department (CPD) revealed that their dispatch center began receiving multiple 911 calls about a crash at the intersection of Highway 32 and Bruce Road in east Chico. As the crews responded to the scene, one of the vehicles began fleeing the scene, east on Bruce Road.

Reports revealed that the driver stopped his vehicle around a half-mile from the crash site. Then, it went out of his vehicle and then ran into a nearby field.

When officers arrived, they detained the fleeing suspect, identified as 35-year-old Flores of Sacramento. Flores was determined to be on active probation for a prior conviction of driving under the influence.

Meanwhile, responders confirmed that the other driver involved in the crash sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.

Then, the authorities arrested Flores for hit-and-run causing injury, driving under the influence causing injury, and violating the terms of his probation.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
