Driver Dies After Tire Blowout Causes Rollover on I-20 in Midland County
Midland County, TX (November 30, 2025) — An early-morning rollover crash on Interstate 20 left 30-year-old Fidel Solis Mendoza dead and Adrian Rodriguez, 21, hurt.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash happened around 2:40 a.m. near mile marker 145.
Investigators say a 2023 Chevrolet Malibu was heading east when its left rear tire suddenly blew out, sending the vehicle into multiple rolls.
Reports say that the driver, Mendoza, was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene. The passenger (later identified as Adrian Anthony Rodriguez) survived with minor injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
DPS continues to investigate the Texas accident.
